A daily puzzle · by J&B Creations

A color a day.

Hueful is a calm color matching game. Read the day's color, then mix it yourself by eye: three rounds, scored on how close it looks, not how close the numbers are. Train your color eye in a minute a day.

See it before you play it.

Straight from the App Store: the daily rounds, the sliders, and the palette your days leave behind.

How a day plays.

Under a minute. Then it's done. The point isn't to grind, it's to look closely once.

See the color

Each day opens with a target hue (or, in the last round, a two-stop gradient).

Adjust by feel

Move the sliders until your guess settles. Trust your eye.

Lock it in

Get a perceptual ΔE score and add the color to your growing palette.

Not a game

A ritual, not a grind.

No timers, no streak-or-lose pressure, no confetti. Just a quiet moment of looking, and a palette that grows one color at a time.

Every day you finish leaves its color behind. Over weeks it becomes a record of how you saw.

Questions, answered.

What is a color matching game?
A color matching game shows you a target color and challenges you to reproduce it. In Hueful you mix the day's color yourself with RGB and HSL sliders, and your score measures how close your match looks to the target. Learn more
Is Hueful free?
Yes. The daily puzzle, three rounds a day, is free on iOS and Android. Hueful Plus is an optional upgrade with unlimited practice, full stats history, and advanced color input (hex, RGB, HSL, and Lab).
Is there a Wordle for colors?
Hueful is the closest thing: one new color every day, the same for every player, three quick rounds, and a spoiler-free share tile. Learn more
Can you actually improve your color perception?
Discrimination improves with feedback-driven practice; that finding comes from decades of perceptual-learning research. Hueful gives you a measured rep every day, so the improvement shows up in your score history. Learn more
How is Hueful different from I Love Hue?
I Love Hue has you sort existing tiles into gradients. Hueful has you build the color yourself and scores your accuracy, one puzzle a day instead of levels. Learn more
Is Hueful a color blindness test?
No. Hueful measures and trains color accuracy for typical color vision; it is a game, not a medical screening. If you suspect a color vision deficiency, see an optometrist. Learn more
What does the ΔE score mean?
ΔE (delta E) is the standard measure of perceived color difference, computed in the CIE Lab color space. Near 0 means your match is visually identical to the target; Hueful turns it into a score out of 100. Learn more
